Father’s Day Gift Plug – Say Daddy

I haven’t blogged about the wife much here – she’s just not as funny or weird as the kid – but I wanted to plug her excellent new book. It’s a kid’s book about how much fun it is to read kid’s books, it’s written by literacy advocate Mike Shoulders, and it’s cute as hell. Barnes & Noble has been featuring the book as part of a Father’s Day store display, and you can also get it on Amazon and all the other usual suspects.
It’s a great bedtime story – and if you want something a little more high-octane, pick up Look Both Ways: A Cautionary Tale. It’s about a squirrel that keeps running out into traffic, and it’s a total hoot.

Having this book, gotta say it’s really great. Story is fun and cute but not sickly-sweet, and illustrations are beautiful and really match the style of the text.
